Apparent Focus!

Hello World! I am sure we have had a busy week so far, sorting so many things out, making ends meet, finding our place, but whatever your mission here on earth is, God give you the grace to accomplish it.
Was just meditating abit and remembered a funny incident and thought it a simple thing but necessary to share with you.
Its a story about one of our neighbours in a former estate we once lived. It was a nice place, quiet, everybody seemed to mind their business going about their day to day activities. The houses were not separated by fences but these pine shrubs that made the compounds inviting.
So this particular neighbour got tired of people using their compound as a thorough fare to the houses behind and decided to use some sort of barricade to surround their own house; the kind that is used to make bird cages but this was stronger.
Well it worked, people started using our compound or the major road to their destination, but what I found interesting was that groups of chickens found a way of going under this metal barricade and almost removing its support from the ground thereby weakening the structure.
Sometimes,  particular portions will almost be falling down and this was all due to chickens! I remember seeing the work man who fixed it coming over and over again  to reconstruct portions of the wired fence.
That my friends is the irony of life, we get carried away trying to keep "major sins" away from our lives. Yes Lord! I keep the 10 commandments, I don't steal, don't fornicate, commit adultery, kill or lie so I am a bona fide saint. But what about those 'little sins' we are not so conscious of? The 'chickens' that can dig down our defences and invade our comfort spaces? The "white lies", the envy, bitterness, anger, hatred, sadness, the wicked thoughts, our lack of prayer life and real communion with God and so on?
To live a life where the subtleness of the devil wouldn't deceive us like Eve, we need to be spiritually alert. Alert to the words of the Spirit of God that God has given us to live a life without blame before Him. Alert to the promptness and conviction of the Spirit of God to live a life without blame. To have our conscience readily acceptable and repentant to correction of God.
It is possible friends, it is something that can be done; cry out to God for help.

It is well. Have a blessed Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
