Happy Mothers' Day

This is wishing all the mothers around the world a very Happy Mothers day. May God cause your joy to be full and may you reap the benefits of your good labour.
The role of a good woman, wife, mother can never be over emphasized. God has placed so great a responsibility to women to ensure that the tasks given is done in a way to bring glory to His name and joy to hearts and homes. May the grace of God continue to strengthen you all. Amen
Peradventure, the story you have about your mother is not a good one or you have been denied the benefits of that unique care and love; what God is telling you for the now can be found in the book of Isaiah 49:15-16..."Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
So be of good cheer friends; God is closer than you think to you and wants to show you love, your mind and this world cant comprehend!

                       Have a fruitful week. Bless

Happy Sunday

Good Evening World! I do hope you had a wonderful time in the house of God? wishing you the best this coming week. I read a story, found it interesting and thought it nice to share, do enjoy reading!

                                                           The Wedding Guest

Years ago when Jonny Carson was the host of The Tonight Show, he interviewed an eight year old boy. The young man was asked to appear because he had rescued two friends from a coal mine outside his home town in West Virginia.
As Jonny questioned the boy, it became apparent to him and the audience that the young man was a Christian. So Jonny asked him if he attended Sunday School. When the boy said he did, Johnny asked “what are you learning in Sunday School?” “Last week our lesson was about when Jesus went to a wedding and turned water into wine.”
The audience roared, but Jonny tried to keep a straight face. Then he said, “And what did you learn from that story?” The boy squirmed in his chair. It was apparent he hadn't thought about this. But then he lifted up his face and said, “if you are going to have a wedding, make sure you invite Jesus!”
Jesus first miracle occurred at a wedding he had been invited to. It clearly announced His nature, showing that He came to bring joy to His people. God delights in His children, He celebrates with us.
The host of the wedding celebration would have been embarrassed if the wine had run dry. Knowing this, Jesus’s mother turned to the One who can turn sorrow into gladness.  Jesus quietly worked behind the scenes to turn water into wine. When the banquet master tasted the wine, he was surprised that it was better than what had been served first.
When we invite Jesus into every aspect of our lives, He can exchange our past pain for present comfort and turn our deep sorrow into divine delight. He can take old wounds and turn them into fresh wisdom. He can turn stale, old thoughts into new ideas and creative ways to solve our problems. He can take a cold silence and turn it into a warm conversation. If we just ask, He can take those things that we are ashamed of and cast them into a sea of forgetfulness, allowing us to experience true and deep joy. He does not save the best for clast; He saves the best for now.
Those who drew the water knew the secret. Jesus has the power to change things. Just imagine what He can change if only you issue an invitation. He is the guest who can never stay for too long.

Throwback Thursday!

Random Thought

Its another Thursday people and time once again to share one of my "old" write -ups! do enjoy. Make your life count!

Empathy: the ability to understand another person's feeling.
Sympathy: the feeling of being sorry for someone.

The difference between the two is the ability to truly feel another person's heartbeat. In the Garden of Gathesemene, the disciples sympathized with Jesus but I don't think anyone truly felt what he was feeling; the pain, fear and heartbreak. If they truly had the ability to feel his pain, none of them would have been sleeping, they would have been by his side.
In the old testament, God told a prophet to marry a prostitute. To love her the way a man loves a wife, to care for her and put her under his roof. After he had done all these, she still went around sleeping with other men even after she had bore him children. God wanted him to feel what He felt. He loved Israel but yet they worshipped other gods and utterly disobeyed every commandment He gave and did worse than the yardstick for sin [Ezekiel 16]. They never acknowledged His Love for them.
When love comes, it loves despite! that's the kind of love God shows us and expects us to show one another. But what happens when your heart felt love for someone is ignored and that person loves another? Or when you love someone, the person acknowledges the fact he/she loves you back but does nothing to buttress that fact. It hurts beyond words can explain. You feel the pain of rejection, your heart breaks even at the thought of the person. You try to savour any moment you get to share or spend with the person but somehow you know it isn't reciprocated or true enough for what you feel but you take it like that because it is who your heart longs for. You love despite the pain.
A man of God once shared in one of  his books about his experiences with the Holy Spirit how he was given a rare opportunity to feel His heartbeat. He said it was a burden of pain, sorrow for lost souls. " it lasted for 2 weeks"....the heaviness! He loves everyone but not everyone loves him back. Jesus love through his death can only be reciprocated through accepting Him as Lord and Savior but how many have rejected him and His Spirit! So if we feel so much heartbreak because of 1 boy or girl how much more  hurt the Holy Spirit is feeling because of rejection by the millions He loves?
Even we that claim to be His temple yet we steal, lie, cheat, fornicate, sin at every chance we get. In the words of Jesus.."if you love me; do my commandment"
If we could share the burden of the Holy Spirit, we would be eager to share His message...Jesus Loves you: try loving Him back! We would live our lives with caution. Don't be a prostitute, be a bride!

God Bless

Apparent Focus!

Hello World! I am sure we have had a busy week so far, sorting so many things out, making ends meet, finding our place, but whatever your mission here on earth is, God give you the grace to accomplish it.
Was just meditating abit and remembered a funny incident and thought it a simple thing but necessary to share with you.
Its a story about one of our neighbours in a former estate we once lived. It was a nice place, quiet, everybody seemed to mind their business going about their day to day activities. The houses were not separated by fences but these pine shrubs that made the compounds inviting.
So this particular neighbour got tired of people using their compound as a thorough fare to the houses behind and decided to use some sort of barricade to surround their own house; the kind that is used to make bird cages but this was stronger.
Well it worked, people started using our compound or the major road to their destination, but what I found interesting was that groups of chickens found a way of going under this metal barricade and almost removing its support from the ground thereby weakening the structure.
Sometimes,  particular portions will almost be falling down and this was all due to chickens! I remember seeing the work man who fixed it coming over and over again  to reconstruct portions of the wired fence.
That my friends is the irony of life, we get carried away trying to keep "major sins" away from our lives. Yes Lord! I keep the 10 commandments, I don't steal, don't fornicate, commit adultery, kill or lie so I am a bona fide saint. But what about those 'little sins' we are not so conscious of? The 'chickens' that can dig down our defences and invade our comfort spaces? The "white lies", the envy, bitterness, anger, hatred, sadness, the wicked thoughts, our lack of prayer life and real communion with God and so on?
To live a life where the subtleness of the devil wouldn't deceive us like Eve, we need to be spiritually alert. Alert to the words of the Spirit of God that God has given us to live a life without blame before Him. Alert to the promptness and conviction of the Spirit of God to live a life without blame. To have our conscience readily acceptable and repentant to correction of God.
It is possible friends, it is something that can be done; cry out to God for help.

It is well. Have a blessed Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

Indwelling!

        Good evening world!
I do hope you had a blessed and eventful weekend? Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gifts! You are alive, breathing, and in good health, that's the work of God believe me.
The world we live in today doesn't permit the existence of a vacuum in any way or form. Something must of a necessity occupy that space. Every space or potential space must be occupied by something.
Examining we the creation of God, something occupies our own space (mind) and what occupies our mind is a direct choice of what we give into. So the question is; what is occupying your mind? is it bitterness, unforgiveness, anger, envy, hate, offence, malice or joy, peace, hope, love, patience, the meditations of the word of God. We ultimately become a reflection of what we allow occupy our space.
Jesus told a story of how a man was set free from an evil spirit and how the evil spirit wondered the dry wilderness and decided to go back and see its former "house". The evil spirit found the "house" all clean and swept but not occupied, so this wicked spirit went on and got seven more evil spirits which were more evil than it to occupy the "house". Of course, that man is in a worse state than the beginning.
We therefore must be concious of what we let occupy us. No vacuum, no demilitarized zone in this race of life. You are either for God or the devil, no fence, no neutral ground. As a matter of fact, a neutral ground already puts you against God; remember, it is written "you are neither cold or hot......." so there is a consequence for been lukewarm.
As we enter a new week, let us let the right things occupy us. Bless.

Peradventure, you haven't asked Jesus into your life, its a simple plan to salvation. Say this prayer with all truth and sincerity.
Lord Jesus, I am a sinner.
I believe You died for my sins and rose after three days for my redemption.
Forgive my sins, wash me clean with your blood and come into my life.
Take me from the kingdom of darkness into Your kingdom of light.
Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Amen

Throwback Thursday!!!!!!!!!

Evening everyone! its throwback Thursday once again, time to go back in time and bring up a piece from way back. I hope you do enjoy reading it.

                               'Stand in the Rain'

Woke up this morning by 4:30am,wonder why?ha! yes, my mum has a flight to catch.Since the light situation has been epileptic; thank God for the alternatives!phew! (please radical Nigerian youths yearning for a better Nigeria hurry up!) and there was light and the water level in the house was low.

I decided to go outside to pump some more. When I put on the machine,it gave an awkward noise indicative of the fact that there was no water in the sunken tank below so I decided to connect it with the alternate tank but as soon as I put my hands on the valve, the Windows of Heaven were opened and it started pouring.

With my first reaction,I was already in the house, screaming;'my hair,my hair,my hair' for real my hair. I closed the door behind me and was already heading to my bed and suddenly got hit by a brick wall of logical thinking (thank you Holy Spirit) I could go back to bed, amen to that or go out and work out the valves connection after all how many more minutes of sleep can you get before the day begins,or if you think the water level in the house is enough but somehow a tap(s) mysteriously opens and the water finishes in the house and God forbids mum has soap in her eyes when it happens...paused for a bit and went back outside with an umbrella and it was as if the rain was waiting for me because when I went out the intensity increased, opened the umbrella and it went all the way up.

I got smacked by the rain, didn't spend up to 5 minutes outside but when I got in, I was like a 'fish out of water' was drenched and I thought it would be more comfortable in the rain.

Walked to my room dripping water and as I was changing my clothes, a song popped into my head...'Stand in the Rain' by Superchick,I laughed and who says God does play with His kids.Certain lyrics of the song stood out..."Stand in the rain, stand your ground, stand up when its all crashing down, stand through the pain, you wouldn't drown, the only way out is everything she's running from".

So there I was standing in rain, standing my ground...I had to pump the water, the rain crashing my sleep and me,standing through the pain of cold water on a cold morning on my skin and the only way out in the first place was go outside even though it was raining.

As we go through our different paths in life, situations arise that are unfavourable and every bad word in the dictionary can be used to describe it.Stand your ground, don't give in even if the only way out is the last thing you ever thought you will do or the last option in your list. With God as your foundation stand strong and I bet in the next 5 years or 7 years you will look back and laugh about it or at least it would make a good story for your kids.

In life,we learn a lot if only we listen and as Children of God the Holy Spirit is always ready and willing to teach us if we only be quiet and attentive to Him. Even as you reach your citadel of your achievement, don't forget the simple things of life, love God and everything else falls in place because in the end,the concluding sentence to describe a great man/ woman,an achiever,a poor man/woman,a "unachiever",a successful man/woman or an unsuccessful one would be ' he/she died' and that's where it counts for eternity. Peace.

A Beautiful Day!

On this 18th day of the 3rd month of  the year 2014.....how you all doing? Just wanted to share something I thought was simple but yet profound!
Woke up this morning tired! how do you go to sleep tired and wake up tired? I didn't feel like leaving my bed and I didn't feel like doing anything. If I had a remote for the day I will put it on a permanent pause. lol
Then for a  second I thought what about those that slept like I did the night before and didn't wake up? Those that are under some kind of aid or support to make them breathe or those in hospitals whose loved ones are praying they open their eyes? or those who opened their eyes in prison houses or in war torn areas?
I felt really ungrateful. Maybe you are facing a tough time or going through one challenge or the other, don't be discouraged, God believes in your future that's why you woke up today and things are going to get better you just have to believe. There is a saying "when there is life there is hope."

Have a blessed week!

Still Pointing At Peter?

We must have heard of the story of how one of Jesus's finest denied him when the chips were down. Denied any knowledge of a man he had spent the better part of 3 solid years with.
What I find intriguing was that the Master told him before hand more like a forewarning..."Peter, you are going to betray me and the sad part is you wouldn't even know you have done it until you get reminded by a chicken"
A good definition of the word deny is "refuse to admit the truth or existence of." Very well, Peter refused to admit the truth that he knew Jesus, then again how many times have we done the exact same thing? The only difference is that no chicken is singing every time we do it.
When we refuse to pray, read our Bible, spend time with our creator, we deny Jesus. when we are lazy spiritually, prefer to spend hours watching the television, phones and internet instead of adding to the virtues God has given us we deny Jesus.Watch closely and see how our characters deny Jesus on a daily basis.
There may be no chicken but the Holy Spirit through our conscience pricks us telling us something is off. When you point a finger to someone in accusation, four others are pointing right back at you.
         SIN: Simple Instruction Neglected.

Be Blessed and go to church tomorrow. Jesus loves you!

gleetar: THROWBACK THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gleetar: THROWBACK THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:   Hello gents and ladies,      I do hope your week has been fabulous so far? If you haven't, its not too late to make a change and if y...

A Blank Face!

Woke up this morning with a smile on my face and the words "a beautiful day to be me" from my lips as the morning air filled my lungs.Walked to the window, drew the curtains and the view of the city was breathe taking; you see this is one of my pent houses, the view gives you a feeling of being a giant looking down to the 'little ones' below.
Wasn't born with a silver spoon but today I dine with diamond crusted spoons. Breakfast was a feast as usual, with a chef on hand...Red caviar imported from Russia, bread from Lebanon& the freshest grape juice from my own grapevine...It only seems like yesterday, used to have sardines for dinner on a good day after a whole day of garbage hunting!Life is good.
Had a 9 O' clock board meeting with two of my CEOs' this morning with several other meetings scheduled for the day. Dressed in my $ 50,000 custom made Versace suit, ready to make more money, an elevator lift to the roof where my chopper was waiting, you see rush hour traffic is a killer and time wasting and in my books time is definitely money and money makes my world go fast.
In the chopper, my personal assistant with the usual daily brief that sometimes bores me but today even more, maybe its the way she says it, might have to replace her. She has a funny and crooked smile which seems fake and to me happy people make more money."Sally, after today's trip find a replacement for yourself" I said.
Got to the board meeting, the CEOs' gave me a run down of my profits which made the smile on my face wider, the markets doing great and the fame becoming greater.Just then a call, a call from the Prince of Monaco wanting a meeting to discuss investment prospects in one of my companies. That sounds perfect to me, and even better to my bank account. A quick chopper ride to the airport where my private plane was taxing. Got in and a new personal assistant welcomes me. "Oh Sally !!!should get a place for her to be useful I thought to myself".
The trip to Monaco was pleasant, had lunch and a sip of one of the rarest wine....1918, a good year indeed, as the sun beams became the source of luminance  to my flying house and the clouds a blue rug underneath, I couldn't help but be contented with my achievements.Got to Monaco, had a grand reception, the Prince made a nice investment and ended up writing a cheque for a seaside cottage.
What a day? A look at my custom made Rolex and it was 10pm ,it was definitely time to go home, had to have the feel of my Persian rug under my feet and a view of the sky from the roof of my pent house thanks to the retractable glass ceiling.
Ha!Sweet home at last,"what more could I want?"To the bathroom I went, had a shower then a long stare at the mirror to see the reflection of a face and it spoke to me "mad man! Wake up its time for your grave yard shift at the city cemetery" and like a transformation into a parallel universe; like the unwrapping of a Christmas gift. A turn around and a real look again, standing in the shack called home for 10 years."You are late for work again daydreamer" with a sarcastic laugh the reflection said..."Me, I have a meeting with Mr Chen today by 9am on the other side of the world and oh yes!would be using my private jet and everything you wished you had, there I go leaving your dream again." and walked away leaving me staring at a face and a grin of sadness.Got into my rugged old truck and drove off to work.

Having a dream or dreams is the first step in a 10 step plan of a 10 part series program of life. don't waste time wishing, there is time to do and that time is now! Make your life count!

OMG!!!!!!its more than a year!

Its been a while and am almost saddened that I haven't been dedicated to this blog. But now by God' s grace and head held high; I pledge to be more dedicated.
